Kindergarten, Primary and high School
In 1996, the primary school at the Kalala Learning Village (KLV) began with just two classrooms and a handful of children. Today, the school has over 1300 students in Kindergarten through tenth grade. The school follows the Ministry of Education curriculum with additional emphasis on computer technology, science and mathematics. In 2018, three students received awards and national recognition for wining the competition in mathematics at three levels: Grade 4, Grade 6, and Grade 8. In 2017, a KLV student received national recognition by becoming one of 7 students in the entire country to score 100% in eighth grade national exam. Two brothers, who grew up at the Learning Village, have gone on to graduate from government colleges, the older one as a veterinary doctor and his younger brother as an electrical engineer.They have both returned home to KLV and supporting the school..
