Primary Health Care

Offering access to health care is important to the Kalala Learning Village. From the early days when a doctor visited the school once a week to today when there is a clinic on campus that provides health services to the surrounding community. The Kalala Learning Village health program, known as the Summit Health Services, operates the Summit Primary Care Clinic, the Summit Dental Care Clinic, the Summit pharmacy, a clinical laboratory, an ultrasound and ECG services as well as ambulance patient transport service. About 7,000 patients receive services each year.
